Years ago I had Bausch & Lomb mounts that had their own windage and elevation controls. I could move my 2 1/2 -8 scope from one rifle to another with no problem. Can I today? Not sure because I have not found such mounts. Really aggrevates me because they are not that complicated to make. Given the MOA of modern scopes, if you shoot long distance, you rapidly run out of adjustment capability. Someone must make the bloody critters. Any suggestions?

Turns out that when Bushnell bought Bausch & Lomb, almost all the scope mounts were purchased by H.E. Gibbs in Amsterdam, NY. These mounts are 1 inch and the front ring has windage and the back has elevation. They are even available for the weatherby mark V rifles which I have. Needless to say, I have ordered a set and will start on my 45 year old 240. If they work as I suspect, It will be a piece of cake to carry one scope for 3 rifles and automatically have them zeroed.

Blows my mind that they are still available.
